WASHINGTON, Feb 9 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama said on Monday the United States would need better coordination with its allies to be successful in resolving the conflicts in Afghanistan.

"We are going to need more effective coordination of our military efforts with diplomatic efforts with development efforts, with more effective coordination with our allies in order for us to be successful," Obama said about Afghanistan.

He said he did not have a timetable for success. (Reporting by Jeff Mason; Editing by Peter Cooney)
