WASHINGTON, Dec 20 (Reuters) - President George W. Bush said on Wednesday he believes an increase in the size of the U.S. Army and Marines is needed.

"I'm inclined to believe that we need to increase the permanent size of both the United States Army and the United States Marines," Bush said at a press conference.
