Wolfowitz says intends to continue World Bank work

WASHINGTON, April 15 (Reuters) - Embattled World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz said on Sunday he intends to continue his "important work" while leaving the controversy surrounding the promotion of his girlfriend to deliberations by the bank's board of directors. "This is important work and I intend to continue it," Wolfowitz told a news conference following the release of a communique by the bank's Development Committee that said "the current situation is of great concern to all of us."
