WASHINGTON, Oct 19 (Reuters) - President George W. Bush, who is to announce more U.S. sanctions against Myanmar on Friday, will call on China and India to take more action to pressure that Asian country, the White House said.

"He will call on, in his statement, China and India to do more," White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said. "And so this is all headed toward pressuring the regime to try to make a difference." Bush is to make his public statement on Myanmar at 1:50 p.m. EDT (1750 GMT).
