U.S. signs for more bird flu vaccine

WASHINGTON, Nov 20 (Reuters) - The U.S. government said on Monday it had contracted for $200 million more worth of vaccines against the H5N1 avian flu virus. The Health and Human Services Department said it had awarded contracts to three makers -- Sanofi Pasteur <SASY.PA> , Novartis <NOVN.VX> and GlaxoSmithKline <GSK.L> <GSK.N> -- for enough doses for 2.7 million people.
