Death toll from attacks in Iraq's Hilla at 77-police

HILLA, Iraq, March 6 (Reuters) - The death toll from suicide bomb attacks on Shi'ite pilgrims in the Iraqi town of Hilla on Tuesday rose to 77, police said.

They said 125 people had been wounded. Police had earlier put the death toll at 47. Streams of Shi'ite pilgrims are heading to the holy city of Kerbala to commemorate a religious event.
