The corpse of a 12-tonne minke whale lies on a beach of the Arapiuns River at Sao Jose do Arapixuna, near Santarem, November 20, 2007, in the heart of Brazil's Amazon region where it was found dead after swimming aimlessly along numerous tributaries.
