An Israeli explosives expert carries the remains of a rocket, fired by Palestinian militants in Gaza, that landed in the southern city of Ashkleon January 8, 2009. Israel pressed its offensive against Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip on Thursday amid sharp Red Cross criticism that it was delaying access to casualties.
