General Peter van Uhm (L) takes over command of the Dutch military from General Dick Berlijn in The Hague April 17, 2008. General Peter van Uhm's son and another Dutch soldier serving with NATO-led forces in Afghanistan were killed on Friday when their vehicle hit an improvised explosive device, a day after General Uhm took over command of the Dutch military. The Dutch Defence Ministry said in a statement there were no indications that the attack was specifically targeted at 23-year-old First Lieutenant Dennis van Uhm, son of General Peter van Uhm.
