Pakistani tribsmen chant slogans during a protest against a statement made by Afghan president Hamid Karzai, in the Pakistan-Afghan border town of Chaman June 19, 2008. Karzai on June 15 had threatened to send troops into neighbouring Pakistan to kill Taliban militants if they continued cross-border attacks into Afghanistan. Analysts later said that the Afghan president's threat of a cross-border pursuit of militants was more of a tactic to build pressure on Pakistan than a signal of real intent.
