An Israeli armoured personnel carrier (APC) manoeuvres in al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, along the border with Israel, July 5, 2007. Israeli troops and armour crossed into the central Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing six Palestinians, at least five of them militants from the Islamist Hamas group that controls the coastal territory. Israeli forces exchanged fire with gunmen in al-Maghazi refugee camp, and militants said they also fired rocket-propelled grenades at the troops.
