Indigenous Bolivians perform after arriving at Calamarca, some 60 km (37 miles) south of La Paz, October 18, 2008. Thousands of supporters of Bolivian President Evo Morales are marching towards La Paz to pressure congressmen for a referendum vote to approve a new constitution. Morales, Bolivia's first indigenous president, says the new constitution will give more political power to the country's downtrodden Indian majority and entrench his leftist economic reforms. However, the new constitution has met fierce opposition and Morales needs the support of Congress to advance the project, which lies at the heart of a bitter power struggle between the former coca farmer and rightist opponents based in the East.
