A group of tourists from Argentina walk on the Salar de Uyuni, the world's biggest salt desert, where until recently mining salt was the only way to survive in this cold, arid corner of southwestern Bolivia, July 14, 2007. The Salar is becoming a must-see for adventurous visitors to South America, with its native pink flamingos, thousand-year-old cacti, rare hummingbirds and hotels built entirely from blocks of salt. Argentine rancher Gaston Caset walks amid cattle at his farm in the country town of Lobos, 100km (62 miles) south-east of Argentina's capital Buenos Aires, September 22, 2007. Every year, rancher Caset leaves a little less space for cattle on his farm in Argentina's fertile pampas plains, planting more lucrative wheat and soybeans instead. Picture taken September 22.
