Destroyed houses are seen on the coastline of Tasbapounie, November 8, 2009 after Tropical Storm Ida made landfall on Thursday. The storm reached hurricane force again late on Saturday and strengthened to a Category 2 storm on Sunday with sustained winds of near 100 mph (145 kph), a Miami-based hurricane center said in its 1 p.m. EST (1800 GMT) advisory.
