South Korean volunteers from the Korea National Red Cross wave at trucks carrying aid supply kits to North Korea in Paju, about 55 km (34 miles) north of Seoul, August 23, 2007. South Korea sent its first batch of emergency aid on Thursday to relieve flooding in North Korea that has killed hundreds, and a top Pyongyang official said the North is aiming to restore basic services by the end of September.
