A protester sits in front of a row of police along a road near the Formosa Regent hotel where Chen Yunlin, chairman of China's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS), had a meeting during his visit in Taipei November 6, 2008. About a thousand protesters surrounded the hotel in Taipei where Chen held a meeting on Wednesday, to protest against closer ties between the two political rivals. The banner reads, "Anti-China Who Is Without Conscience, Get Lost Chen Yunlin". REUTERS/Nicky Loh (TAIWAN)
