A firefighting airplane empties water on a forest fire raging out of control near the village of Karytena in southwestern Greece September 1, 2007. Strong winds reinvigorated fires that have cut a trail of destruction across Greece over the past eight days, killing 63 people, and authorities said they would burn for at least four more days.

A cargo plane flying between Cambodia and Singapore disappeared from radar late on Wednesday, leading officials to believe it had crashed.
