Description:Air Serv International is a non-profit, humanitarian aviation company that provides aviation services to developing countries and provides support during disaster relief operations. This Country Director will represent Air Serv to local and national governments, program partners, other NGO'S, media, donors and various communities. The position holder develops and implements the country/regional program strategy, annual operating plans, management plans and budgets to ensure that they are in accordance with Air Serv standards, mission statement and donor/program standards. Knowledge of and commitment to Air Serv International, its history, objectives, programs and systems, mission statement and core values.

The position requires at least 7 years of experience in relief and logistical work in a developing country, aviation awareness a plus. Candidates must have good communication practices, both verbal and written and to be able to communicate cross culturally. Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to build personal relationships with both local and foreign staff, partners and leaders at all levels. Must have negotiation and administrative skills. A university degree or the equivalent is required, preferably in sectors relating to international relations or business management. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is a must. The position is located in Afghanistan. Aviation experience is a big plus!!

Travel will be required both within the assigned region and internationally. This is an unaccompanied posting.
