Description:Reporting to the Area Finance Manager, the Regional Finance Manager is responsible for strategic direction, project coordination and consultative oversight to of assigned HFH programs in Asia-Pacific as sustainable social business ventures; manages staff providing financial support with National Programs including financial analysis and monitoring

Analysis/Monitoring:
 Analyze national organization and consolidated regional financial reports on a regular basis, track key indicators and provide analysis to Habitat managers
 Participate in quarterly program planning and monitoring meetings
 Monitor external and internal audit reports
 Notify Area Management Team of non-compliant Programs and Projects
 Provide quarterly feedback to National Programs
 Review and grant proposals submitted to HFHI; report findings and recommend changes; advise on financial components to be included in grant proposals
 Work with the Grant Manager to review and approve funding requests based upon a national organization's ability to financially and programmatically comply with Habitat's minimum standards

Grant Management:
• Assist RD staff in the development of grant proposals.
• Oversee the financial management and compliance of grants from institutions and governments.

Sustainability / New Business Models:
 Provide advice, direction and training to national program management on the development of appropriate business models for the various stages of national organization development and specific pilot projects
 Coordinate institutional definitions and models of best practice for issues related to finance (ie. sustainability, interest, subsidy)
 Facilitate development of capacity building materials to promote financial sustainability

Business Systems:
 Provide oversight, direction and training on the development, implementation and maintenance of appropriate financial systems
 Develop and manage the consolidation of financial and statistical information systems.

Global Work Groups:
• Participates in and/or leads global work groups focused on developing business models
• Participate in and/or leads global workgroups focused on finance policies and procedures

Experience required :

 6-10 years experience in NGO / nonprofit financial management
 Prefered five years experience in micro-finance
 Two years experience (developing/managing projects) with (international) financial institutions (i.e. World Bank, development banks)
 Three years experience with HFH affiliates/national organizations (preferred)
