POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the MF Program Manager/Acting CEO is to manage and build the capacity of Finance Sudan - a microfinance program of ARC's that will be spun-off into a profitable, limited liability private company operating as a microfinance institution in the near future. Finance Sudan currently serves approximately 750 clients out of two branch offices and has plans to expand to reach at least 21,000 clients in the next two years.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
• Manage process of hiring, orienting and monitoring all Finance Sudan staff.
• Develop staff capacity, especially managerial staff, to manage the institution effectively
• Develop lending product and procedures that are demand driven and permit the effective delivery of services to low income households and microenterprises.
• Refine and implement financial and administrative procedures and policies appropriate for a stand-alone microfinance institution
• Review effectiveness of current computerized portfolio tracking and accounting systems; suggest improvements as required.
• Supervise client selection, loan disbursement and monitoring
• Prepare narrative, statistical and financial reports for the country director, Regional and Senior Technical Advisors in the field and ARCHQ respectively as well as donors on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Reports should meet the needs of both ARC and the microfinance program.
• Meet program goals for loan disbursal, repayment, arrears and portfolio-at-risk targets as per the Finance Sudan business plan.
• Manage the program budget and track institutional cost-recovery
• Coordinate activities with other ARC programs where feasible while maintaining progress towards sustainability of the microfinance program/institution
• Assist in fundraising to support EO programming, particularly Finance Sudan in South Sudan
• Adhere to donor, ARC and government requirements and regulations in implementation and documentation of program activities and expenditures.
• Direct all marketing and public relations activities towards objective of building brand equity of Finance Sudan in-country and in the region
• Attend all governance structure meetings(steering committee, board, shareholder meetings) to provide operational and financial reports on program/institutional performance

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum five years experience working for or advising sustainable microfinance institutions in positions of growing responsibility
• Five years management experience; preferably at the senior management level.
• Experienced in both the operational and financial aspects of managing a microfinance institution.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Public Administration with a focus on Microenterprise Development, preferred
• Knowledge of or experience working with refugees and/or in post-conflict countries
• Strong computer skills; word processing and spreadsheet software experience required.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Valid driver's license and a willingness to drive
