Position Summary:
The Operations Manager will be a member of the Senior Management Team based in N'Djamena, with frequent travel to the project implementation areas. The Operations Manager will be directly responsible for the design, implementation, and monitoring of logistics, and procurement systems including the training of local staff and the development/adaptation of relevant materials (driver logs, way-bills, etc.)The Operations Manager will report directly to the Country Director also based in Ndjamena.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities include:
•Implementing logistic systems and ensuring their use and standardization across the country program
•Maintaining a rational supplier base and ensuring that procurements compliant with CCF policy
•Managing and tracking international and domestic purchase orders
•Managing and controlling all assets, including warehouses and stocks
•Supervision of program logistics including construction and rehabilitation, including contract tendering and procurement
•Fleet management, including fuel, parts consumption and service scheduling
•Training of national and international staff
•Producing stock and consumption reports
•Oversight of administrative matters when required

Qualifications
•University degree in Business Administration, Management or related field.
•Minimum 5 years progressive work experience in logistics in humanitarian aid programs in unstable environments is essential.
•Experience working in Central Africa a plus
•Self-guided, strong organizational and planning skills.
•Ability to work independently and as a team player and under pressure.
•Strong commitment to institutional values, policies and procedures.
•Proven decision-making skills.
•Strong interpersonal communicative skills; experience in team leadership and participatory management.
•Ablity to work and live as part of a large, multi-cultural team
•Strong English and French reading, writing, and speaking skills required.
•Ability to work and live as part of a large, multi-cultural team.
•Flexibility, adaptability, willing to travel throughout the country. Travel required - 50%
•Computer literate - MS OFFICE (WORD- EXCEL- Etc.)
