Description:An Organisational Development Advisor (ODA) is required to provide technical assistance to support the process of developing Humanitas Ubangi, a local mine action partner organization. You will support their development to a sustainable level, to enable it to independently access resources, and manage and implement activities with minimal external support.

This will require the development of appropriate managerial and staffing structure and the introduction of robust financial, logistical and development policies. Reporting to the Country Programme Manager, this will involve capacity building and monitoring the progress of the partner's development toward sustainability.

This will require previous experience of working at a senior level in an overseas project that includes responsibility for project design, development, monitoring and evaluation. In addition you will have worked in partnership with a local organizations and have thorough knowledge of current best practices in capacity building. In addition, you will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to transfer knowledge to a diverse audience through participatory adult training, mentoring and other formal and non-formal methods.

The successful candidate will also require excellent organisational and project management skills and the ability to build effective relationships with local authorities, donors and local staff. A high level of French language skills are essential for this role. This position is available immediately and is funded for an initial period of 12 months and candidates must be able to commit for this length of time.
