Description:Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager (TOM), the Mechanical Technical Field Manager (MTFM) will be responsible for the operational deployment of the programmes mechanical assets. This currently includes D8 armored bulldozer, Tempest mini flail, Belle excavator and Hyundai brush cutters and a large fleet of Landcruisers. The Mech TFM will be managing 2 Mechanized units and a Road Operations Unit across different locations throughout the Moxico province.

The postholder will also be required to provide advice and assistance on all mechanical matters as directed by the TOM with a view to improving operational effectiveness, efficiency and safety related to mechanical operations with in the Angola programme.

The TFMM will have experience in the operational deployment, management, servicing and maintenance of mechanical assets in a minefield environment, ideally including the Bozena 4 Mini Flail, and the ability to supervise and develop the capacity of the Angolan team. Strong experience of working in mine action is preferred. In addition the successful candidate will have experience of working overseas and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
