By freeing up millions of acres of land we are the precursor to the development and economic growth of conflict-affected countries throughout the Middle East, South East Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe.
We are currently recruiting a Donor Reporting Accountant on a fixed term basis, for 3 months, to work in our busy HQ Finance Department based in central Manchester. In this role, the postholder will complete outstanding donor finance reports and assist with completion of year end accounts.
This role will involve completing donor finance reports to agreed deadlines in the required donor format, meeting contractual guidelines and maintaining high levels of accuracy, ensuring grant files are completed, donor reports are fully reconciled with finance systems and liaising with internal MAG staff in HQ and field as applicable. The postholder will also assist HQ Finance Officers in completing year end accounts for overseas programmes, including reconciliation of country expenditure & bank and cash accounts to SUN and ensuring income and debtors are posted correctly.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate overseas relief finance experience, with a strong emphasis on donor reporting. Previous experience of project/ programme accounting, budgeting and budget monitoring and managing donor funding will be essential. Experience of Excel and accounting software are also key. Previous experience of the SUN accounting package is preferred. The post holder must be able to communicate with clarity and quickly establish effective working relationships.
