Nairobi, Kenya £20,730 - £26,910 pa + allowances Some 13 million Internally Displaced Persons and refugees. 19 million food insecure people. The 10 countries that make up the HECA region face some of the most challenging humanitarian situations in the world. A huge part of Oxfam's programming here is about making sure people have access to the right kind of public health information and facilities. And that's where you come in. Be challenged You will promote public health innovation and learning right across the region, building the technical capacity of our country teams and partners to design and implement quality water and sanitation interventions. We'll expect you to take the lead on long-term strategic thinking and operational planning. And when a disaster strikes, you'll make sure that we're ready for it - and that we have all the right kind of public health initiatives in place. Be involved As well as a Masters degree in water & sanitation or engineering (or the equivalent in technical knowledge), you'll have a strong engineering background and, more specifically, possess significant practical engineering experience of water and sanitation programming in developing countries. Experience of working in complex emergency situations is important too. We'll also be looking for a background in integrated public health programming with an emphasis on engineering and a proven understanding of health promotion approaches and methodologies.
