Description:MAG's programme in Sudan has grown rapidly into MAG's largest programme globally. MAG Sudan is undertaking a wide range of mine action initiatives in 4 different operational areas of Sudan. We are currently recruiting an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations in the North of the country.

As one of two Finance Managers in country, this post will focus on managing the finance department in the North of the country and maintaining effective control over a multi-donor, multi-project programme with extensive assets and staff. The postholder will contribute to financial planning and to the financial components of proposals, as well as ensuring accurate and timely reporting and compliance with MAG financial procedures. This position is based in Khartoum but you will need to be willing and able to travel regularly to MAG's operational bases across North Sudan.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in implementing and managing independent financial and budgetary controls, whilst being able to show support to the operational requirements of the programme. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate an ability to report on a timely and accurate basis both externally to donors and internally to MAG Headquarters.

There will also be a capacity building aspect to the role, and the ability to train and develop staff will be essential. You will need experience of working overseas in international aid or development. Previous experience of working for an NGO in the region is desirable.
