| Description: | The mission of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance is to reduce the spread of HIV and meet the challenges of AIDS. Our vision is a world in which people do not die of AIDS. Since 1994, the Alliance and its partners have supported over 3,000 projects, in over 40 countries, reaching millions of people. The 'Technical Hubs Transition Team' is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor. S/he will actively participate in the planning, policy and strategy of the team which will be supporting six newly established technical support hubs. The Transition Team will help the hubs develop the capacity and mechanisms required for them to deliver technical support to Alliance members in the region. S/he will also ensure that technical support needs of Alliance members are addressed during the transition period while the hubs are being set up. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in providing or managing the provision of technical support in the HIV sector, coupled with experience of working for an international NGO, UN agency or at country level. S/he will be flexible and enthusiastic with the ability to work in a complex, demanding and changing environment. S/he must have strong analytical skills and be customer-focused. The ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing is also essential. Skills in Spanish, Russian or French would be an asset.
