Description:Job Summary
This position contributes to the mission of the organization by: supporting the Director with planning, procuring, and expanding the GIK income, cash handling fees and grants. Supporting the GIK Section with USAID Ocean Freight Proposal Design and OFR country approvals, GIK end use reporting to donors and MTI.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Create new sources of commodities, increase cash fees and procure GIK based on essential lists. Emphasis on full box product for procurement of primarily pharmaceutical commodities needed for program interventions.
• Create new sources of procuring specified items for volunteer teams and partners
• Establish and actively cultivate relationships with new corporate donors and existing corporate donors and Partner NGOs.
• Improve GIK procurement by focusing on MTI essential lists, WHO essential lists and Primary Healthcare medicines and products outside the northwest region.
• Travel to establish and maintain ongoing donor relations.
• Develop improved written means of communicating GIK needs in coordination with Resource Development and Technical Services.
• Create reports for sending to GIK donors and for MTI internal reporting needs in consultation with GIK staff.
• Travel required to meet donors

Desired minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors and/or Masters in Business Administration, Economics or Public Health Administration
Preferred Master of public health decree, or practice in the medical field in the USA or overseas

Experience
Required:
• Sales or marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Grant writing and/or contract development for bidding on pharmaceutical sales.
• Preferred:
• Experience in designing GIK medical product interventions and assessments
