Description:We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Technical Advisor, Inventory Management located at our headquarters in Atlanta.

This position will guide and direct CARE's global inventory operations towards improved organization inventory management and will establish and set forth standardized policies, procedures and guidelines and metrics for tracking and managing CARE's assets (food, non-food and other assets).

This position will work closely with each region ensuring inventories are managed properly along with complying with CARE policy, donor requirements, while following GAAP and GACAP standards. This position will assist country offices with this compliance and will provide guidance in addressing audit findings. This position will also develop and organize trainings sessions on inventory management.

Please note: Travel for this position is approximately 35% (mostly international).

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 5-7 years related Inventory Management experience (preferably some experience with food items), with at least 3 years field experience
• Prefer experience with a non-profit organization
• Strongly prefer background managing and directing inventory operations for an international organization in multiple locations
• Familiarity with financial systems/packages
• Conversant with U.S. GAAP and GACAP regulations
• Experience creating benchmarking/metrics to monitor performance
• Must have exceptional communication skills and demonstrated ability to garner acceptance and compliance
• Experience conducting training exercises on inventory management
•Knowledge of donor regulations and requirements of major donors (USAID/OFDA/DFID/EU/ECHO,etc) strongly preferred
