| Description: | Overview of project
In DR Congo we serve a "primary healthcare accessibility programme" which has one base in Bunia and one in Isiro. These locations serve 500 health centres and hospitals with drugs, reaching over two million people with essential primary healthcare. In addition to this, in Bunia there is a programme for the reconstruction of health centres and a psychosocial programme.
Responsibilities
To manage the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Congo relief and rehabilitation programmes. To represent Medair in Congo for all issues related to the programmes.
Qualifications
University degree and relevant professional experience and / or Postgraduate degree in the humanitarian sector, and a management degree would be an asset Experience 2 years experience in senior management position and 3 year overseas experience Experienced proposal & report writer, experienced in dealing with donors and government officials Experience in training/mentoring staff - both expatriate and national Advanced skills in project, finance & strategy planning, negotiation skills, especially in the context of another culture Excellent French and English (oral & written) Medair standard working requirements for the field Minimum 12 months professional experience in a relevant field Minimum 3 months overseas work experience Committed Christians & strong adherence to Medair values Minimum time commitment of 1 year Strong English communication skills (oral and written) Familiar with Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Strong character traits, including emotional stability, adaptability, team player, ability to handle stress, cultural and gender sensitivity, honesty, and accountability http://site.medair.org/en_portal/hr/job/job_list.php |
