...if you want to overcome poverty and injustice by encouraging children to claim their rights.

For 70 years Plan has been working with the world's poorest children, families and communities. Today, child centred community development is at the heart of our programmes with 11million children in 50 developing countries.

We are growing and are looking for talented individuals to join our team;

This new role will guide and inform our programmes ensuring gender equality, and particularly girls issues, are mainstreamed within our portfolio and that current good practice and innovative/cutting-edge approaches are reflected in high quality project proposals. It will support Plan's "Because I am a Girl" advocacy campaign

We need someone with specific and extensive knowledge of gender equality and global development issues. We also want someone who has a track record as an opinion former in the development field, specifically on gender equality issues.

We need all applications in by 10am on Wednesday 7th October 2009.

We'd prefer it if we didn't receive CVs and also, we don't want to be inundated by calls from recruitment agencies (nice as you are we like to keep our costs as low as possible so we can spend our money where it's needed most).
