%method> Overall coordination of and responsibility for the management of Medair’s West Darfur water and sanitation project with other NGOs and UN agencies. Support to, and supervision and training of WatSan staff. Lead the transition of the WatSan programming from ‘out-puts and activities’ to “impact” through monitoring, evaluation, and appropriate humanitarian accountability partnership (HAP) activities. Develop high quality WatSan proposals. Contribute to the overall project coordination in the core management team. To enhance Medair’s emergency response capacity. To support the smooth functioning of the Southern Kordofan programme, by appropriate overall management of the Logistics Department and Administration/Finance Department. On behalf of the Projects Coordinator (PC), to ensure the security of all programme personnel and Medair assets in West Darfur. To support the smooth functioning of the Darfur programme, by appropriate overall management of the Logistics department and Admin/Finance Department. Acting PC during leave, travel etc of the PC. To facilitate achievement of the medical objectives to reduce morbidity and mortality in the area by delivering quality emergency healthcare in the Dungu area, and where the LRA emergency may spread. To develop, lead, monitor and evaluate the medical part of the South Kordofan programme, with a particular focus on state-based coordination. To provide cover in absence of other health staff and possibly the Projects Coordinator (PC). To manage both the nutrition programme in partnership with SAACID and another programme in partnership with a local NGO. To provide technical support to national medical staff for the implementation of high-quality care in all projects. To manage the necessary drugs and equipment for both projects, ensuring availability and appropriate usage. To anticipate, plan, and share in the development of new health project proposals in collaboration with SAACID and other partners. To develop, lead, monitor and evaluate the WASH part of the Sudan (Northern States) country programme; to provide capacity building for national and international staff; and to contribute to the overall management of the Sudan (Northern States) country programme. To assess WatSan needs, design project, write proposals, initiate and effectively manage the water and sanitation project in line with the objectives, budget and timeframe laid down in the proposal under the overall guidance of the HQ WatSan Advisor / Country Director. %method> |
